The Prelude Standouts: 2028 & 2029 Part 1/2

2028 5’10 G Arianna Robinson- Plano East
2028 5’10 G Arianna Robinson- Plano East

Robinson is an elite scoring guard with a strong frame. The five star had all eyes in to watch her at The Prelude. She showed the ability to make plays for others in spurts throughout the game I watched. Her on-ball defense is underrated as she just plays with a will to win. I would like to see her use her size more, there are times I feel she settles for jumpers instead of using her strong frame.

Robinson holds offers from many elite major programs. Some schools in to watch her where

Georgia Tech, USC, Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Notre Dame and many more.

2028 5’11 G Jada Weaver- Mansfield Lakeridge
2028 5’11 G Jada Weaver- Mansfield Lakeridge

Weaver is a nice size guard with a solid skill set. Along with her skill set is her ability to make shots from the mid range. Off the dribble, Dribble hand off, and the catch. She has a scoring instinct I liked. She is a player I see having a very good season for Mansfield Lakeridge. Didn’t seem afraid of the moment. I would like to see her be more active defensively on and off the ball.

Weaver holds an offer from Virgin Islands University and after her performance at The Prelude. I definitely see her recruitment raising to the radar of D1 schools.

2028 6’2 W Kyndal Hardaway- Mansfield Summit
2028 6’2 W Kyndal Hardaway- Mansfield Summit

Hardaway is a long and mobile wing with a very high ceiling. She stands out offensively with her ability handle the ball so fluild for her size and position. She excels slashing to the basketball and creating for others. She showed Defensive versatility by guarding multiple positions with her size and athleticism. Once she improves the mechanics and her jump shot progresses. She will be a top 10 talent in the country in my opinion.

Hardaway has moved to Dallas from Florida. Her recruitment hasn’t really skyrocketed yet. But she will receive offers from a lot of power house schools this season for Mansfield Summit.

She holds interest from:

Texas A&M, SMU, Oklahoma State, Georgia Tech, and more

2029 6’2 W Makenzie Jackson- Cy Springs
2029 6’2 W Makenzie Jackson- Cy Springs

Jackson is an athletic wing who is dynamic in open court. Jackson is a player who pops off the screen with her elite motor. She can play many positions and dominate the game different ways. As she got to the rim at will, what stood out to me the most is her ability to dominate the glass offensively and her aggressiveness. I would like to see her have better pace and stay upright on her drives. There are times when she can look out of control on her drives.

Jackson has offers from Tennessee, Texas A&M, Houston, Prairie view A&M, the most recently Michigan State.

2029 5’11 W Olivia Woods- Plano East
2029 5’11 W Olivia Woods- Plano East

Woods is a lanky wing with solid shot creation skills. She impressed with her ability to get offensive glass, her ability to handle the ball and create shots for herself is what coaches liked from her in the gym. As she improves on her overall strength and learns how to assert herself more in games offensively I think she’ll be a national name out of Texas.

Woods holds an offer from Texas State and has interest from North Texas , SMU, Wichita State, UTA, and more.

2029 5’6 PG Madison Madkins- Cy Springs
2029 5’6 PG Madison Madkins- Cy Springs

Madkins is an young PG with great feel and scoring instincts. Madkins put in a show at The Prelude she avg 19 PPG and 4.5 3’s made per game. Her ability to score off the ball is what makes her effective. She can hit shots from deep range off any action or just simple drive and kicks. She is good defensively on ball and has solid ball skills off the ball. I would like to see her assert herself more offensively as her 19 PPG avg could’ve been 25+. She is a player who can get hot in an instant. Madkins holds an offer from Prairie-view A&M and has interest from Rutgers, Michigan State, Wichita State, Auburn, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and more.

2029 PG 5’7 Mya Davis- Crandall
2029 PG 5’7 Mya Davis- Crandall

Davis is a crafty PG with a good skill set who excels in the open court. She finishes well with both hands and has solid body control slashing to the rim. She picks passing lanes and is active defensively on ball.

As she continues to grow physically and keep progressing on her consistency on her jumper. I can see her becoming an elite player in the next few years.

Davis is a kid who many coaches probably dont know but some will after her freshman season at Crandall Highschool. She is a division 1 talent.

2029 6’0 W/F Sade Mathes
2029 6’0 W/F Sade Mathes Wyile Highschool

Mathes is an active and mobile wing who plays inside out. Her motor is what stands out most. She shows flashes of her skill set as she makes plays out the triple threat and knocks down one dribble pull-ups. As she progresses in her skillset and smooths out her overall mobility on the court she will be a name that will definitely be on the raise this school year and summer.

Mathes doesn’t have any offers currently but she has made some noise theses past few months and has open the eyes of some Division 1 schools.
